This is a question for all the people on MSE who are in a relationship, I am interested to know how or where you met your partner?

I have been struggling to meet a suitable partner for quite some time and I am wondering where I am going wrong?

Through friends and mutual interests - I have met almost all my boyfriends this way. Bars, work etc are the usual places to score but don't really do it for me. I go to work to work and I go to bars to have fun, not scout for men lol.

Get your friends to introduce you to guys they like, then at least they come with references!

Maybe your trying too hard. (Which can sometimes make people seem desperate.... I'm not saying you are... just can come across that way sometime in my view).... Go out and enjoy yourself and the right person will come along!!
I met my wife when I wasn't really looking for anything serious.. she says I ended her party years!!

I did meet my husband at a bar but I don't think that is the only option for meeting a suitable other. I would also suggest that meeting someone in an enviroment that you enjoy would be best. If you have any interests hobbies etc it may well be a place to meet someone. Have you tried dating sites? I am sure alot can be a waste of time but in reality alot of nights in bars and clubs are also that. I would think the sights that aren't free would probably have the more suitable serious canditates.

I met my hubby in work Spent years doing the whole pub/club thing but lets face it, most people are in their element when they're out relaxing and having fun so you generally find they're not the same person on a normal mundane day-to-day basis. There's nothing like seeing your boyfriend stressed out on a Monday morning with the place falling down around them to know how well your relationship can cope.
