Thanks, I do appreciate the advice and I will contact some. I'm just so frustrated that it's got to this and that I don't have the money to get a solicitor to push TFL or fight my corner

Disclosure of you conviction is classed as a 'material fact' in all insurance policies. Although not obviousl this is actually what is being referred to and so in a all be it, odd way, they have actually asked you to declare if you have anything.

Your situation is rubbish and could so easily happen to anyone. I just didnt' want to see you post on here and no-one mentions this to you and then you have problems later on because I feel it would have been wrong of me to know this, stand back and not tell you about it. Sorry if the UNLOCK website seemed harsh, it's the only thing I've ever referred to so was the only bit of info I knew of to tell you about.

Just re-read your original post and noticed that you've been told it's a minor conviction - sorry, that will teach me for having a quick look on here during my lunchbreak! In that case I'd simply try to find out if insurance is affected by a minor conviction. I've only had experience of a normal conviction so it could be that your situation is different and you won't have any issues, although I would imagine you still have to tell them about this.
