Oooh, I used to get these as a child, thank god for central heating now!

I've had chilblains. You can buy a cream from pharmacies for them, peculiar stuff, it has chili in it. Worked well for me though. I can't remember what it was called, was several years ago. I'd ask your pharmacist for advice.
