  • why add the lego if folk not sure they want it? i would have loved it for my 5 yr old boy, but it sold out even though i clicked as soon as. Anyway, saved myself £25, so it's not all bad!

Because i didn't know what the price was, and if i'd waited to find out first it would have been too late. They should tell us the price first :(

CV in the post for a job at Amazon is it? :p
I don't think I'm in the minority who think that these offers are awful. But everybody to their own eh?

no cv at amazon but it amuses me greatly all the complaints about amazon (and other companies) that do offers. It will get to the point where they will just think its not worth it, comments like i hope your cancer gets cancer and the like says more about anonymous people on the internet than it does about amazon (thats not aimed at you btw)

Fastest finger first, some you win some you dont, but half the internet is outraged at these offers :rotfl:

This morning it said the original price was £119 - so the £59.99 is half that price. My OH got the gents one but hasn't actually checked it out yet.

oh didn't see that price just going by the £79.99 price earlier thanks

Because the normal price is 48 (48-23=25)

I was quoting the person who said their promotional balance was £23 something :)

I am actually impressed with the way Amazon have handled things. The lay out is great, I wasn't expecting to be able to see what was coming later in the day, I thought it would just be a case of 'wait and see'. I think its great you can just add things to your basket and decide later if you want them. I'm really impressed the site has handled the thousands of people logging on too, I was expecting it to crash, especially with the Take That cd this morning. The only let down is the quanities, but we all knew there wouldn't be a huge amount of stock.

Aw come on..play nice...we've been having a bit of a laugh at our own expense here..no need for sarcasm thanks.

Well said. I remember my Dad saying an old saying about 'a fool and his money soon parts'. Can't remember the full saying.

I was a fool. I guess the two bits I got weren't too bad. The DVD set at £12.97 and the Perfume at £16 odd. So £29 worse off than I was 9.00am this morning, when I cam on for a £1 TT cd for my wifes christmas present.

So not much harm done, and they'll make good pressies, assuming I keep the perfume.

But on a serious note. These prices are not good, and I can't see it doing Amazons rep. any good. If they read this, they really should make a decision to knock another 25% off, or make more available. It isn't too late. It is still only Monday. This goes on all week.
Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies

Because I also have a five year old who would love it, but I decided that I was buying it for the sake of it and would be better not spending the £25. I figured that if I hung around to check the deal out first then I'd have no chance if I did want it.
