i have a theory - may have been mentioned earlier, but am not going to read 200 pages back!

there are a lot of repeat deals coming up now. could amazon be testing the waters with a small stock of a certain product by monitoring how many hits the basket button gets once the countdown finishes. if it gets a good response, the they have a word with the supplier, ask how many they want to move, bang them on the site the next day. stock shifted.
mozart took ages to go....relative to the other products he was hanging about for years!

Possibly, but seems just as likely that they're 'recycling' the baskets of people who don't check out in time/change their minds.

Actually, I'm going to see how much HAWX 2 is at 9pm.

Ah, I didn't bother with the filter on category.
Will stick with HAWX instead then.... though I'm not sure I'd pay £9.99, which is what I expect it to sell at.

Doubt it. The item will be repeated when someone claims an item but then doesn't pay by midnight. Which would explain why they go even quicker the second and third time round as theres less stock.
