Yes..I could do with some help on this too please. Heard they were wonderful but could never afford one, so tried an argos signature one instead. Anyway, I didn't really like it. I only usually make single cakes, so tried a sponge & it just didn't seem to mix properly..tried different speeds & lengths of time..but ended up using a hand mixer. (Also, the flour seemed to gravitate towards the sides of the bowl & had to keep stopping to to scrape it in). Tried again with double the mixture but same results. Is this kitchen aid any better or should I just go back to my hand mixer? Thanks.0 -

I believe they are a really good deal, I can't seem to find Kitchenaids for that price except second hand on ebay and I've been looking for awhile.
My mum and my aunt both have kitchenaids and swear by them. They're a tough bit of kit. They're die cast so hardwearing, my mums had hers for 6 years and had no problems with it. She did say you do need to make sure you read the speed settings properly as you can wear out the motor by using it incorrectly.
Absolutely fab for kneading, obviously mixing etc. The attachements do lots of extra different things, mince, make pasta, sausages etc etc (most of which are on amazon if you have a gander) unfortunately they are quite expensive (the only downside really, but they're just extras)!
I think they're brilliant. But then I'm bias because I've wanted one for ages!2011 wins: 2x Nike Footballs, 5x £10 Sports Direct Vouchers, 2x magazine subs, Revlon lipstick, Models Own make up product0 -
