Really2 also said spuds would be a better investment than silver.

What, where, when? I said in the break down of fiat currency who know what would be the holder of value, it COULD be potatoes (slight joke on no one knows)
  • You are far better off investing in garlic or any nice round vegetables for that matter!

    Apologies - couldn't resist:

: Oh, come on, Baldrick, you're going to be an MP, for God's sake! I'll just put fraud and sexual deviancy. Now; minimum bribe level...
Baldrick: One turnip. Oh, hang on, I don't want to price myself out of the market.
Blackadder: Baldrick, I've always been meaning to ask: Do you have any ambitions in life apart from the acquisition of turnips?
    Baldrick: Er, no.
Blackadder: So what would you do if I gave you a thousand pounds?
Baldrick: I'd get a little turnip of my own.
Blackadder: So what would you do if I gave you a million pounds?
Baldrick: Oh, that's different. I'd get a great big turnip in the country.

Oh Hamish, you are so clever.

    Or are you witty ?

    Maybe you are neither.

You are trying to imply that buying Garlic in 2008 would have been a good investment, as it would be worth 3 times as much today ?

I doubt that 2 year old garlic would be worth much now, but Silver or Gold might still find a buyer, and give you a profit.

You ridicule Hamish when very soon he will be right.

You will see Hamish knows what he is talking about, he will be proved right sooner than you think.

Let everyone remember what Hamish said "Gold and silver are going to crash soon 100% guaranteed" and appologise to him when he will be proved right very soon.

You are far better off investing in garlic or patatoes they are going up 3000% you will be able to buy 30 or more houses in a few years time. Hamish says its 100% guaranteed that gold and silver will crash soon.
  • Hamish you are admitting that house prices are falling compared with commodities?

This is a turn around for you are you turning into a house price bear?

Looks like Hamish will be right sooner than most think.

Gold and silver are starting to crash already.

Probably because Hamish has sold his holdings in those precious metals. He did buy then sell, didn`t he ? He seems very sure of his own predicitons. If I was that sure, I would have invested.

Hamish has been saying gold and silver were going to crash for years now.

Since he first started saying it was 100% guaranteed they were going to crash gold and silver have gone from strength to strength.

He is at least consistent in being wrong about everything.

I've planted £26 of garlic in October, at approx 7p a clove - hope to get 180 bulbs from June onwards - shop price for organic local is 60p ish, so a £221 return within 7 months. £221- £26 = £195 profit.

    Hmmm.........shame I will eat/use it all ;)

PS. If I didn't grow it, I wouldn't use half as much.
