getting really nervous now

Hi all, just getting so nervous now. Its been leading up to this point for a few months, i have been fortunate to have been able to plan it as much as possible. I am also lucky that my next lot of debts to be paid aren't due until after I will be bankrupt on 2nd december - i have a real fear of being hassled by phone or baliffs coming round so i've planned it out as much as i can.

I've got a few bits to fill in on the form, including the reasons for bankruptcy part which you all helped me with on here. I've also got to write an explanation as to why i used compensation to pay off sofa finance, in hindsight i would not have done that had i known the advice i would get would be to go BR

anyway just wanted to say thanks, how did u all get to sleep the night before?! i'm also aware i need 3 copies of the form, but i don't want anyone at work to know so i dunno how i'll photocopy the forms i've got, i guess i'll cross that bridge when i come to it!

why do you need 3 copies? I gave in my only copy, and was given a copy along with the BR order

Because different courts require 3 copies, some 2 and some 1. Depends on the court, the majority though require 3 (one for the OR, one for the court and one for the person who petitioned)

Yep, second what Tiger says, most courts do require 3 copies. Good luck OP although honestly you will not need it.

your local library should have a photocopier, if your worried about anyone seeing your forms. Failing that, some courts will copy it for you, depends on how busy they are and if they are nice :-) Might have to pay 10p a sheet tho....

Good Luck for the 2 December Hunt, it will be over before you know it. You won't be able to help the nerves but try and take some comfort from the fact that all of us who have experienced the court day have got through it and found it to be very professional, non judgemental and nowhere near as bad as anticipated.

Will be thinking of you and keep posting, we are all here for support x

it was just like waiting for a job interview....nerve racking for the time running up to it....stomach churning while you are there....and then looking back thinking 'I got the job, what was the problem!!'

Use the library - it cost me just under three quid. The court wanted a cool £30, I kid you not.

Yeah, the girl in court said that if she had to phtocopy stuff for everyone she would never get any other work done!

I did mine in the library - 5p a sheet. Only problem was I missed a couple of things out and then had to change all the copies
