Packhards Ltd seems to point towards some leather goods manufacturer so they may have narrowed their products over time to only leather. Always seems to be registered in Gloucester or Ross on Wye ( Packhards Ltd

4-5, The Food Court, Eastgate Shopping Centre, Gloucester, Gloucestershire GL1 1XH)
. There is a packhards shop in Poole and used to be one in Bournmeouth but not anymore

  • hi...woby_tide...

thank you for that info.... it now ties in with what i have found since posting the request for help....i found out that

peter packhard was a tailor in 1932 and traded from 44 commercial st bournemouth

then in 1935 he then became parkard gowns..

after the war in 1947 he was parkhards gowns and furrs..

and the in 1961 became packhards holdings.. selling leather goods... and that was it my trail ended..

so ..it looks as though you might have found the company..... thanks will phone tomorrow to find out....

    thanks..really gratefull....:T

  • Hi COOLTRIKERCHICK, I've just come across a fur coat made from red squirrel that was manufactured by Packhards. I'm also trying to find out more about them. Anything new since your last post?
