which energy saving lightbulbs

i currently have philips

however after a recent hip pack rating the guy left me some free megaman bulbs su109 and su111 and said they were far better and the new kid on the block

what did he mean by this, i need more megaman bulbs but they seem expensive so i would rather go to b&q and buy new ones so they all match

can someone tell me where to buy from and which are the best

thankyou

Megaman bulbs are very good, but so are phillips bulbs. I use various types of both makes around the house and am happy with all of them. Since you've already got them I can only suggest you try them in different fixtures and see what you like better.

  • The Phillips bulbs are very good as well, as others have said, stick with what you have already.

LED light bulbs are best tech, if you don't mind the price.

There is such a lot of poor led bulbs out there and tbh most people I bet are very hesitant paying over £15 for a bulb, I know I am I dont want a turkey

I know leds can be good I paid for a decent led lenser torch at xmas and its powerful so think what good led bulb can do

I been to three eletcrical wholesalers last year and and asked them about led bulbs I have yet to find one actually sold a bulb at that was in Setp/Nov last year, I dont think there is much demand for them until price drops, chicken and egg scenario isn't it?

We got some 23w ones from Costco - very bright in comparison to all the others rated at 20w.

All the 'free ones' have now been discarded.
  • you can buy led light bulbs online, I've bought from several online shops
