Interesting point above. I didnt realise that whilst not willing to accept coupons for non purchased items they are apparently willing to accept competitors vouchers. Taken to its illogical extreme is it then theoretically possible to use a succesion of conditional spend vouchers to reduce the overall cost?

Technically you should buy the totals of all CS's to use them in one shop so if you have a £3 off £30 & £4 off £40 you should spend £70, some SA's don't know/care and so you may get away with only spending £40 but it's a 'risk'

Most CS's are about 10% so T allow them to get you to shop with them rather than their competitors, to me it just shows that they are making way over 10% profit on everything you buy so it's no real 'loss' to them, it keeps their competitors 'profit's' down and it keeps you going back to them so they win both ways...

Yes it's a bit HUGE isn't it! Barcode also starts 92 so don't think it will scan?

That is why you have to claim it from the customer service desk as their till are not set to accept barcode starts with 92......

Decided against buying paper when I saw it, as Mr S sent me another 4 £5 off £50 shops (He must have been impressed when I spent soo much more with him after the last load:o) I will stick to them as I think my T is a 'Have to scan' otherwise won't accept store :(

Sains like me too :rotfl::rotfl:got another 4 sets of £3off spend over £30 this morning.

Strictly speaking, if you had a £3 wys £20 Sainsburys and £3 wys £20 Morrisons, then you should spend £40 to use them and some stores/sa's will insist you do. However, you might be lucky and successfully use both on a £20 spend. ;)

I have to disagree with both of you, technically (they used to accept) if you use the same conditional spend voucher from the same shop say.. Sains £3off when you spend £30 and My Tesco will accept £3off x 2 ( 1 from till spit and 1 from the post) if I spend £60. But they have stopped accepting 2 same conditional spend from the same shop.

My T let me use : £3 off wys £30 (sains), £4off wys £30 (tesco), £2 off wys £20 co-op. So my total coupons that I can redeem are £9 wys £30.

Next week I am doing £60 shopping & my conditional spend coupons will be : £10off (waity), £3off (sains), £6off (tesco), £2off (Co-Op) = £21off wys £60;) excluding any other coupons that I am going to use. Oh yes! £25 x'mas voucher from Morris that I have to collect from them next week ... here I come TESCO....

I guess it depends on each store to accept what they think is right:D

I managed to use a waitys £10 off in my tescos this morning. I checked with customer services before I shopped and they said yes. But it didn't scan but sa got a supervisor over and they put it through manually but never questioned that they shouldn't be taking it. More apologetic about delay! Got one for next week.

Managed to use 2 of my Curry's £5 coupons today - 2 separate visits ;)
Was going to go to S's but car park was very busy, didn't even get to it, massive queue - so got my petrol and went (2p cheaper than T's!) - still loads of lumpy compressed snow about and slush.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D
  • My local Tesco were happy to take both the Waitrose £10 and a Sainsbury's money-off total spend vouchers, saving me £15. I did check with their head office before going, as I never know what they accept nowadays, very helpful lady said they were happy to accept Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Morrisons but not Farm Foods. Not sure about the Co-op?
