Afraid not!!! I don't do rabbit!!!! Hubby used to make a big pot of it to give out to the customers in the pubs we kept though and we used to tell the kids it was "chicken" so they would eat it. I have no problem with eating Bambi's realitives but just couldn't eat Thumper!

Morning peeps...lovely to have Sher back posting and welcome back Blue ...how was the holiday?
Hope everyone had a good Christmas, I'm trying to get back to normal eating now and have removed all temptation to the kitchen cupboards, too easy to take a chocolate as I walk through the dining room...have gained 1lb in a week!!! Soon be back walking everyday when the thaw sets it...the River Trent runs at the bottom of our garden and this is the first we have ever seen it frozen all the way across, it's been frozen at the edges before but never right across, not thick enough to walk on but def frozen, have to say it looks stunningly beautiful.

    Morning all

Just might manage a trip to Sainsburys to use a couple of Pringles coupons and maybe a Finish or two.

Not going too far, roads still bad and its very slippy today as we have had a little rain.

    Take care everyone

:santa2:Morning Bully and everyone else. Seeing as its a bit quite on here, I thought I would tell all the newbies the story of my holiday :D 15 months ago on what we call Black Friday, when Tesco stopped taking coupons as cash, Bullshot suggested we ought to do comps.:AWe then started a group of regulars who did comps, My bestest pal drwho:T:T:A:A found the best 10 or so comps (hols, cash etc), put them on an email with the link and answers and sent them out to us all each day.
I was one of those who thought people never win owt decent until a month later I received an email saying I had won a holiday to The Gambia, 7 nights, B&B here http://www.gambia.co.uk/Hotel/6002/45034/Kombo-Beach.aspx?Booking=false
I have never before seen pics on a holiday site/brochure which are anywhere like the place like these. Everything was as the write up says. The place was a beautiful as the pics.
It was a fantastic holiday and I would recommend the place to anyone, so friendly. We were delayed 13 hours coming back:j:j, which because they knew well in advance meant we had an extra full day there.:j:jBlue spent the extra day swimming in the sea and lounging at a beach front bar in 90 degrees whilst the flight coming out was grounded in the snow at manchester :D.
For anyone ever thinking of going anywhere like this I would highly recommend paying a bit more for a company like the Gambian experience as we were able to keep our rooms during the delay and have a kip/change in our rooms and went to the airport an hour and half before we were due to fly, the Thomson guests had to leave their room at 12 noon and went to the airport 5 hours before the flight was due to leave (5am).

So for anyone who thinks no one wins these holidays and I won't bother entering, they do;) A big thanks to bully for pushing us to do comps and an even bigger thanks to Drwho, cos without her links/comps lazy Blue would never have been on such a fab holiday/done the comps:A:A
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.

never complain about growing old,far too many people have been denied that privilege.

  • Blue, your holiday sounds lovely, really peaceful and relaxing and WARM.

Makes me long for the snow to go, fed up of freezing every time we go out.
