My daughters 12.I dont class her as a teenager nor like her wearing makeup.
But shes too old for dolls.Nasty inbetweenie age.
Last year i got her her nintendo ds,mobile phone pink of course essential as starting high school and a heart necklace from asda with a single diamond on entitled my first diamond.
I think silver jewellry which can be kept and worn when they are older holds great sentimental value.
Watches...nice cosy pretty jumper,fluffy slippers.
Singstar/dance mats games are good.
This year i'm going to get her creative things like a candle or soap making kit or jewellry making kit.
Nice choccies.Girlie perfume like so range or impulse.
I need a little girl to buy dolls for and pink sparkly things arrrgggggh0 -
She would prefer money of course if all else fails they like gift vouchers to buy their own treats0

I bought my 18YO sister these slippers from Primark today for £3!
They also had some tamer white fleecey type ones in various colours - blue, green, cream and pink IIRC, but the lady who was putting them out was saying to someone that at £2.50 they were flying off the shelves so be quick!!0 -
if you have a Primark near you then that's the best bet - their dressing gowns are very good and they do PJs etc. They also do great scarves, gloves etc
or get something like http://www.qvcuk.com/ukgasp/frameset.asp?nest=/ukgscripts/detail.dll?item=220485&dd=/navigationapp/QVCNavigate.aspx?type=ukleftnav!class=U073!level=2!parent=UKHB&qic=y and break it up into little sets.
or Avon have some good offers on for bits of make up or fragrance.
My nieces always get some skin care even if it's just Superdrug wipes and basic moisturiser.0 -
sorry but those slippers are truly hideous....they would make my daughter cry lol0

Well I'm 18, and I'd be chuffed if I received anything like these suggestions!
Some nice shampoo, or stuff for their hair, that they don't usually buy themselves is nice, or some fancy make-up? My aunt got me a fancy mascara and eye liner set one year, and it was really nice.
Or some jewellery - costume or silver. If you have a Warren James store near you, you can get some really good bargains in there!!
Or a beauty voucher for a salon near them?Needing all the money I can for university!!0 -

:rotfl: they're more of a jokey present as she is such a Bet-Lynch style drama queen and sticks feathers onto everything (she's at art school in london), and we have a picture of her from when she was little wearing a blue leopard-print leotard (goodness knows where she got it from, but it was the 80's!!!) with a blue feather hat on that she'd pinched from our nana's wardrobe!!! :rotfl:
I have got her a proper present as well!!
the £2.50 ones in primark look a bit like these but without the pattern. Available in pink, blue, green and cream!!0 -
You can get beautiful silver braclets or bangles for less than £10 from those shopping centres. They'll keep for ever and mean a lot.
I agree with PJ's, undies etc from Primark or La Senza. Boots is wonderful as the 3 for 2 means you can get a £15 present.
I personally don't like the hamper idea if you've only got a tenner, they'll end up with stuff they're not that keen on as it cost £2.
Get them 1 thing0 -
You can buy some lovely hand made soaps/bath bombs like the ones in lush on ebay but a lot cheaper than Lush.
My daughter is soon to be 12 and I have decided to make my own bath bombs for her friends and wrap them up with some ribbon, the initial cost for this is quite high that is why I recommend ebay.0
