My OH occasionally buys Fray Bentos pies. I always wash the used tins & put them in the recycling bin, but can anybody tell me if its ok to reuse them for home made pies?
I'm hoping that I can keep them to save me buying new ones, as I want to stock the freezer up abit with some pies & quiches etc.
All advice gratefully received.

I can't think of any reason why not.
As you say, they'd be perfect for home-made flans, pies and quiches for the freezer. They'd probably work for big Yorkshire Puddings or Toad in the Hole (albeit circular), too.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
I have used mine for years now ....!I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0

The only potential problem I can see might be if your home made pies needed a higher temperature or significantly longer cooking time - would the paint/print on the tin stand up to it or would it burn and give out nasties?Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0
