LOL I was going to ask who Iris was until I realised that the subject had been cut off!

Can't see it, I think the Euro was a one-way ticket and the nations in it are going to have to do everything they can to prop it up, whether they like it or not.

I dont think Germany and franch can aford or the people are willing to keep bailing out the other EU euro countrys. Once one defults i think the other weaker and in debt countrys will fall like a pack of cards. How can and why would the German and french peopel keep paying out and trying to prop them up?
Would we as UK tax payers keep on handing over billions to them all?

I just can not see it lasting that much longer.

Dont get me wrong i hope that all the euro countrys can sort there debts, and there countrys out as a whole. I also hink we should play our part and help out with bailouts.

I also worry that if the euro dose fail then our own counrty will be hit very hard from the fallout,

-surely much better that each country start to live with their own strengths and weaknessess rather than all be like germany

In Germany they are already reverting to a defacto Deutchmark - they do NOT like accepting Euros unless it's those printed/issued by Germany (shown by a D in the code).

It wouldn't be that difficult to revert to a two-speed Europe where the PIIGS have interest rates diverging from the Franco/German core.

Of course we will, our politicians literally fall over themselves to give our money away to big financial institutions and other countries.

The prefix for German Euros is X though. D hasn't been used yet, its due for the next new entrant after Slovakia .

The Germans and the French are bailing out their own banks (not necessarily in that order...) - how long their taxpayers stand for it is anyones guess
