I start my DMP in november and im going through the CCCS, they are going through the process of making offers to creditors and i have to keep reading a letter from them this morning, reading that they ACCEPT my offer and have removed all late payment and interest charges and will also honour 0% interest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG its the company ive dreaded the most ...
also had a letter another accepting the offer.... touch wood so far so good!

MBNA are quite good accepting DMP offers
, It's Lloyds who are the biggest pain in the @ss

Yes I had the same thing, though they wasted a lot of time ringing me daily first. My main problem, in fact my only problem now is HSBC.Julie

joolz thanks for your reply,
your a good person to ask, ive just woke up this morning to find a letter from lloyds declining my offer and a letter from GE money declining my offer demanding the full ammount of (wait for it!!) £163. they wont accept my offer of repayment for this amount yet creditors i owe thousands too have accepted.
im a little confused as to what i do with these letters, will the creditors send a duplicate letter to the CCCS so they are aware. should i call creditors or just leave it to CCCS. will the CCCS negotiate futher with them.
im stuck in limbo at the moment, have no idea whats going on....
any comments would be greatly appreciated.0 -
I believe that the creditors also write to CCCS who then often write to you. At the beginning I often rang CCCS to update them. I think that the situation is that most creditors need to default you in order to accept your offer so I would suggest sitting tight and if necessary turn off the phone. It really will settle down.
GE money don't ring me though I don't think they have accepted my offer either. I don't have anything with Lloyds.
Good luck!Julie

I think that GE might be hoping that you'll just pay the £163 as it's such a trivial amount. The thing they probably don't realise is is that it's a lot of money to you.[strike]-£20,000[/strike] 0!0

What the point of all that is, I don't know. If they're going to accept the offer, why don't they just get on and accept it?
Must be infuriating for CCCS to be dealing with delays on thousands of these cases.0 -
fatbelly wrote:Lloyds are always really slow. Their internal procedures are interminable. They'll pass it around several different parts of their organisation (Andover, Southend, Brighton), maybe involve their solicitors (something like Sechiari et al.) or their collectors (BLS) then after 6-9 months of !!!!ing about, they accept your offer.

That is exactly what happens! thakes them about 6-12 months (somtimes well over a year) to accept the DMP.
