They had them cheap in Tescos when I was last there. I would buy whichever are cheap for cartridges, or maybe try freecycle or similar.
One day I might be more organised...........

I am of course talking about

    HOME BARGAINS!

Not sure if its a "laser" printer but at £19.99 they have a LEXMARK printer in stock and if I am not mistaken you can buy cheap cartridges for it.

Please accept my sympathies ont he passing of your printer - at least you are wise enough not to have it serviced! We did with our first printer (some years ago) it cost us more than the new one!

Are you sure that it is actually deceased ? (it's not a Norwegian Blue ?)
or has the sneaky manufacturer put an electronic "lock" on it to make you have it serviced after x copies. Might be worth googling it to see if there is a way around this.

I got the Argos Samsung one on Thursday. It might be worth checking if there is one available near you

thanks for the responses. moonrakerz I think you might have something there. i cant see why it would display such a notice unless there was some kind of flag.

its an epson stylus c44 plus and I will do a google.

ps i seems an ink pad problem. Im actually very annoyed with epson as this is nothing more than a way for us to replace the printer. I think we the consumer should decide this!
