    Can we help, op?

It is unusual here for people to talk about begging; even though lots of people hereabouts are in dire straights too.

We share our problems and offer advice to each other.

It sounds as if you could do with help.

Did you ever have any success with your "selling from home" idea?

    Hi pixie_bella :)
You are obviously very stressed at the moment and the fact that you are begging shows just how desperate you feel x
Don't know if any of these suggestions help but here goes:
Get in touch with citizen's advice asap
    Car boot sales
Make things for Xmas presents such as scarves, bake things such as mince pies and wrap them in pretty boxes, paper, etc (there is a good thread on here somewhere with lots of ideas) :)
Get creative and make up pamper baskets to give as gifts - you can get some nice body butters, etc in places such as poundland, home bargains, etc :)
Talk to family and friends and let them know that you are struggling this year
One year I was extremely skint and bought my family a lottery ticket each - I explained my situation an they understood - one of my family won £10 on their ticket so wasn't a bad present after all :)
Sell things you no longer want on Ebay - my husband needed to buy something recently but we didn't have the money so sold stuff he no longer needed and covered the item he wanted to buy with money left over :)
Try and find a small part time job if you already work full time - even it is only £20 a week it will still help
Advertise your cleaning services locally and knock doors asking if anyone would like their shopping done for a small fee saving them going out in the cold - older people and families with young children may appreciate this
Have a look into party plan companies - there are some that don't require a start up cost
Betterware also doesn't require a start up cost and also have no running costs whatsoever - get in touch with them quickly - sales are also bigger at this time of the year
I can't think of anything else for the moment but if I do I will let you know x
Good luck hunny - it's stressful now but it will get better x

    Hi pixie_bella :)
Another idea for you if you have children :)
When me and my sister were children my parents were absolutely skint and so were their neighbours - they all got together and swapped toys that that were no longer being used by their children. Their children received 'new' toys and were none the wiser but really happy :) Me and my sister had a 'new' doll each that were cleaned up by my mother who had also made/knitted clothes for them. Me ad my sis were ecstatic and our dolls actually had more clothes than our richer friends had - indeed our neighbours then asked my mum to make clothes for their children's toys including their boys action men, lol!
There's also freecycle - have a look at the stuff that is being given away and see if any of it can be of use to you :)
Just another idea - this could turn out to be your most creative and even enjoyable xmas's if you put your mind to it and next year could be a walk in the park :)
Hope all goes well for you x
