as u will well know that as soon as ARGOS is open after the Xmas break the shop is full with un-happy customers taking back faulty items.

    .

They are taking back either faulty goods, unwanted gitfs, or goods that they have had sooo long they thought they would try there luck and take it back to Argos, not everytone is taking back faulty items. So you have never gone back to any other shop like Woolworths after Xmas and seen there queue`s and many others shops like them. We dont all get what we want for xmas and if you can take them back and get your money back then why not, hence the big queue`s in MOST shops.
And that is my two penneth worth

    Dont get at me.

Just my reaction to the ops post. He is banging on about Argos asking us to keep on shopping at Argos, when infact their all as bad as each other but he didnt mention working for anyother store.

  • Well I know where Debs is coming from, had some lousy service myself in the past. But I do appreciate [strike]Argos employees[/strike] people with Argos knowledge coming to these boards because they give great advice and lots of helpful info.

    And that's my 1p worth (I'm a skinflint!) :D:D:D

I just think that personnally you get good and bad service no matter where you shop even Harrods probably its just that Argos is so well known by everyone and so popular that it alaways gets the bad reputation and you have to bear in mind that, i would presume that they get their goods from the exact place that most electrical retailers get there goods. And if you have got a faulty toaster or iron ect ect then maybe its the cut back that are made in the places where they are made ( ie not making as many as may QC inspections). I dont mean to have sounded off at you Debs and sorry if i offended you.
And lol at the 1p worth.

I was not offended @ your comments sinandie, that your opinion and view and I respect that

A LANCASHIRE LAD, has now edited his post, good boy! LOL. I was not having a go at u personally ( you sound like a good honest HARD WORKING fella ;-) )

I appreciate all Argos's input into this forum, your a great asset to us all. I frequently haunt the argos forum looking out for those must have bargains and often enough have got some pretty good deals but equally have had my fair share of complete rubbish too ..... hence the argos rant.

LOL on a lighter note .................. I hope you have a happy argos christmas everyone !

  • any chance you can work a bit harder? I always end up waiting for ages to pick up my stuff, often you can see it there sitting on a shelf and I just wanna leap over and grab it. But usually it just never comes from out back and you have to start hassling the customer facing people to find out where your order got to.

Argos seems a bit redundant since the online revolution! Who needs a catalog anymore, what a waste of energy to make all those paper copies....

Also a bit of research on this board can show what store you work at btw, well it narrows it down to a city ;)

not necessarily - there are 4 stores within less than a 20 mile radius of where i live ;) open it up to a 30 mile radius, and you could add a good few more stores.

does that mean you can answer my query? does argos have a 14 or 28 day refund policy?:o

16 day money back guarantee towards unused stock in good working order.

policy towards faulty goods is if that they are returned within 30 days of purchase, they are usually replaced - after that 30 day period, it would be sent away for repair.

You do know argos employees have been told not to post on these boards?

first ive heard of it. and as far as im concerned, unless i am disclosing 'eyes only' info (to which i am sometimes privvy) then i am not doing nothing wrong. most of the info i post (regarding store policy and proccedures) is available on the website or in the back of the catalogue anyway
