    I would be quite suspicious of stores which refuse to honour the student offers as this may be against company policy.

    I was once told that I could not have a free item 'because they did not have a button on the till'. Clearly I was being fobbed off as I had got it there before. Complained to head office and they put them right and sent me £10 vouchers.

    It seems that some branches just do not want to give things away free as it affects their profits.
