Tesco Reduced (Yellow label) Food

hi there, im not a regular here so please correct me if im putting this on the wrong place...

RnR is good in tesco, but sometimes when there isnt too much rnr around- or if you dun have the guts (like me) to get £20 of RnR, there is always some cheap reduced food. (with yellow label as it is out of date the next day?)... to me as long as the food looks the same- ( no change of colour, or freezable) i reely dun mind...

Tonight i went to my local tesco and got pretty much everything 1/3 their original price...

got
2 packs of prawns- 1.33 each
1 pack of chicken fillet- 1.76
1 whole chicken- 1.12
oh yeah and tesco finest pizza- 1.12

when u buy 2 pizzas, 1.12x 2= 2.24, they take 1 pound off with its current offer so it makes 1.12 for 2 finest tesco pizza

still taste as fresh as normal... and dont have to deal with the CS which is getting harsher and harsher... tesco has a much more generous reduction than sainsbury, asda- do they even have reduced food? and i am talking about the 2nd round of reduction here, usually happens at 6ish...

anyone wana comment and post up what they got from reduced shelf recently?

If the reduction came off for you, you were lucky. Tesco have a system whereby this type of multibuy does not work on reduced items and they have posters up behind customer services in some stores to confirm the fact. BOGOF does still seem to work on reduced items however.

My OH reckons all food comes with a little yellow sticker on it as he's never seen any without! Ah I remember the days when you still got the two for £5 coming off reduced stuff at £1 each.My best day leaving with a trolley load of fruit and veg and only paying for the wine at the bottom of the trolley, heady days...

You're going to the wrong supermarket if you long for being paid to take their goods away! Try the one that starts and ends with the letter s!
One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.
