Boot Door Won't lock nor close properly

My Renault Clio ('06 but not the new model) the boot door won't lock nor close. I called out the AA person and they examined it and they said the solarnord (sorry i don't know how to spell it) might be broken. then they put on a tie at the moment by taking the back plastic off. I called up the deals and they said the earliest time they can examine the car is the 1st Nov.
Where can i stand now?

My Clio did this the other week ('04 plate, so the same style as yours), but it seemed to "self-correct" 15 mins later.
