Cheapest DVD rental gift subscription?

I'm looking to buy a DVD rental gift subscrition for my Mothers boyfriend 9don't like him much so want it cheap as chips!)

Tesco seem to be the cheapest, but they don't send a gift card, only an email - but I don't know his email address and want something I can actually wrap up for Christmas.

Any ideas of where does this and also any codes to get it cheap?

WHSmith do a gift with is a fixed amount of DVD's rather than a subscription (which may make a better gift) you also have something to actually give the person. The best bit is that you have six months to use them, so you don't have to rush to send and receive them to make the most of your money. It's not the cheapest (about £20 for 8 dvd's or £30 for 12) but can work out cheaper if you don't want to watch 3-4 films a week!
