You get 2 free dvd's as well, includung the incredibles, blade runner & queen on fire - live at the bowl

To get this deal you will have to buy the fidelity icard so there isn't much in the price after all - wait until the uk release

    Where'd you see that deal?

It's probably just me but i'm finding it really hard to find anything on that site!
  • You need to join their membership scheme at $49.99 canadian dollars to get the free dvd's. I believe the offer to buy the membership card and get the dvds only comes up when you have items in your basket and go to the checkout. The membership card gives you things such as free standard shipping and 20% off all items in february. I got one a couple of weeks ago and the customs duty on the console was £21.73. The more games you buy with this the better the deal is as you are saving another $9.99 on each game above your 20% discount. They also have the psp on there at $239.99 after discount which seems an great price even allowing for customs charges.

does it take long for the fidelity membership to come through cos i don't want to buy it and find out i've missed the 20% off offer! (ends 20th feb!)
  • You buy the card online and it is registered in your account for every purchase then on for a year so if you sign up while the offer is on you will be able to take advantage of it.

I found this of another site with retailer reviews and this guy posted this (dated today!)
looks like the dvd soon site has gone a bit mad, but managed to get an amazing bagain just before it appears to have gone down, so watch for it returning ...

    bought a nintendo ds
    got the ifidelity card
2 free dvds (incredibles / wild at heart s.e.)

    here's how it processed ...

    Nintendo DS Hardware 1 239.98 239.98
    Membership Card 1 49.98 49.98
    Wild at Heart:Special Edition 1 0.00 0.00
    Incredibles, The 1 0.00 0.00

then the actual bill .... ( i decided on 1st class and boxing - which adds a bit)

    Subtotal $ 289.96 CAD
Carrier: First Class $ 13.98 CAD
    Boxing: $ 1.00 CAD
    Total Shipping $ 14.98 CAD
Console With Game Discount $ - 60.00 CAD
    Membership Promo $ - 48.00 CAD
    Total Discount $ - 107.99 CAD
    Total Taxes $ 0.00 CAD
    Total $ 196.95 CAD
Store Credit Used $ 0.00 CAD
    Balance $ 196.95 CAD

as the exchange rate is £1 = $2.32 can, total bill for all of the above ....

    £80

and yes, there'll be some import duty - do i care ... nope !!

with the extra console +game discount it works out to around $ 150 CAD! (assuming you already have the membership there)

the extra discount looks like you don't even need to get a game with it too! (even though it'll work out at less than £15 a game with the discount i think!)

If anyone wants to share the cost of a membership with me then pm me please, i wanna get one now!!

Edit-scratch that, that console +game discount doesn't work like that, i have no idea how the original guy got it like that >.<
  • hi,

I posted that stuff about the ds being that price with the card etc ...

i've no idea why it came out with the price of the card removed ... I actually tried to do it again for a sony psp and it didn't work (the psp is £109). So I tried again for a ds for a friend, using an alternate e-mail account etc and it still didn't work. I did notice that the following morning (tuesday 15) that the website was crashing then was off for a while, so I think I may well have had a bit of fantastic luck. I ordered a couple of dvd's since the ds order and got the discounts no bother e.g. Young Einstein fo $7.95 (cad) or £3.50 in real money !! not bad for a brand new release of a funny old movie .... So the card seems fully functional ...

Will the PSP work with UK games then? I know the PS2 doesnt!
Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:
  • from sources in the games industry i know, the psp games are going to be universal ... i.e. no region

    but ....

movie playback is regionally coded just like dvd ....

however, from sonys past record, i fully expect that not to be a problem one way or the other ....

I'd worry more about the 90 minute (allegedly) battery life ....
