Hi
Ive been an avid reader of this board for many months (never posted). And am a fellow person in serious debt, considering bankrupcy (well OH is)
I just thought Id post this cos it might help someone as I noticed a lot of people saying they can't shop on line with no credit / debit card for groceries etc.
http://cashplusone.co.uk/
(I don'tknow how to set it up as a link or if Im allowed to!?)
they do a prepaid mastercard, you add money on at the post office then use in the normal way to a credit/debit card. but cant get in debt , no credit checks.
there is a set up fee mine was about £16.95 for issue of card and set up and there is monthly fee of £4.95 (but its the convience of having it! helps online)
as I say don't know if this is of any use, prob not most of the things I know are useless to most others!
best wishes all

I have looked down this route, but am put off by the charges. In my opinion, these companies should pay interest on any amount you have in credit on the card, rather than charge you for using your own money - after all they make money from the retailer and from the interest on your money.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
