Mortgage for a property abroad..?

Hi.
We are in the process of buying a property in Greece. We have found a bank in Greece willing to consider us for a mortgage - but then our UK bank wants to charge us £25 per month to transfer the mortgage payment... and that is manually each month. Poor!
Can anyone advise us of a UK bank that can offer us a better approach - OR - a UK bank that will offer mortgages for properties in Greece?
Thank you.

You can open a Citibank account here and in Greece and transfer money between your account online for no fee (standard bank exchange rate applies).0

Try the Bank Accounts forum for advice. As there's more than likely to be a cheaper method of cash transfer.
International money transfers are never cheap, sometimes not even very fast. So maybe more cost effective to transfer cash in sizable amounts than on a monthly basis.0
