CD player with counter

I use exam board CDs for language teaching, which are produced without track divisions.
In order to find specific parts of these CDs I need a player which has a counter, so that I can keep a note of how to get back to the bits I want, e.g. a conversation starting at counter reading 325 etc.
Has anyone found a current model which has this feature? It has to be a player with built in speaker, not a personal CD player.
So far as I can see most no longer have it. Some have a bookmark facility, but that only returns you to the one point at which you last turned it off.
Any ideas?
