What do you do with unwanted prizes?

Options
What if you win something you don't really want? Do you enter comps just so you can sell the prize if you win?

Most prizes I've won I have used, or if I've won tickets we've gone to whatever it was, including stage shows, concerts motor racing etc and the whole family have loved them.

I have to say that any prizes I have won, and not been able to use, or not really wanted, I have given away. I have been tempted to sell tickets that I have won, but always found someone else that can use them, so I've never made any money off them. Maybe if I won something big, I would be tempted to ebay it, but I haven't done yet.

I've ebayed most of the prizes I've won. The only ones I kept were 2 front row tickets to see The Cure (I already had tickets for it too but they were at the back), £400 to spend at Woolworths (still got £50 of that left), weekend in Amsterdam (would have ebayed that if the names were transferrable) and the weekend in Cardiff.

Hi Anne H, as a comping addict I have won many small prizes, most I keep and find myself saying I won that - to the question of "whare did you buy that".
On occasions, I do say I don't want a prize and it is gone in the blink of an eye. My 3 x teens/young adult children are very quick to say " yes please"!
Toys/childrens books I tend to put in my Birthday bag to give for Christmas/birthdays.
Still in the que to win my first car:rolleyes: Every thing comes to thoose that wait - well I hope so anyway!
    Best Wishes...
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

I've never sold on a prize. I've been quite lucky in the fact that I usually win things that I actually want/can use - But on the rare occasions I won something I won't use I tend to offer it to a family member or friends (At no cost to them, obviously :))

    I've been Money Tipped!
Since i started my maternity leave i've been entering lots more comps and had quite a few prizes all of which i have kept for me or my baby. I only enter a competition if i would like the prize or it would make a good present for family or friends.
For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.

Well Fifi, with a dad as rich as yours, I'm sure you don't need to enter comps to get stuff you want;)
