I called the AA (as I have Sainsbury's Energy and Sainsbury's car Insurance) to chase points that have never been added to my Nectar account.

Having explained to the CS adviser that I had never had any points or incentive from joining the AA several years ago, I asked if I could have the 1500 points. I was told that I will get points on my next renewal but nothing else.

"This is an incentive to get new customers" I was told - yes, perfectly understand that but what about exisiting ones that haven't had this or any other benefit? Nothing doing though!

If you want points for Sainsbury's Car Insurance (i'm owed 2000), be prepared to have to call them several times and be told that it takes 6 - 8 weeks to add to your account - why so long when BP and Sainsbury's supermarket points are ashown within 24 hours? Points yet to come!

Same with Sainsbury's Energy (a brand that is no longer supported by Scottish Power) have had to call several times here too. Told the same, 4 - 6 weeks. Points yet to come!

EDF Energy give you 5,000 Nectar Points for joining them. Unsure on their prices but would you be able to sign up and jump ship 4 - 6 weeks later?

I have a receipt from BP offering 2000 nectar points when you join the AA.

If you go through quidco you will also get £20 back. You wont get this if you phone.
