Looks like a good deal. Postage was pretty reasonable as well. Does anyone know if the patchwork square fabric works out at a good price? I'd like to take patchwork up, the squares seem reasonable to me but I wouldn't know where to begin and whether or not they are a good deal.

Yes it is a good deal. I order quite a lot of fabrics too. For the size they are should be £5 up :)
    Good luck with the patchwork!!

  • The squares aren't a bad price - I certainly wouldn't pay more than that for them*. It's worth checking out eBay for pre-cut squares too. I particularly love Moda charms and you can get some real bargains from the US as long as you find a good seller who won't overcharge on postage. They come in smaller packs though, around 40-50 but they are a little bigger (5") and sooo pretty. That said, I'm no expert and have only made a couple of patchwork things :)

Thanks for the link OP. I shall check it out later as we're going minimalist for Christmas and wrapping in brown paper and using pretty reusable ribbons. I need lots of buttons and other haberdashery bits too so if I wander round the site and end up buying loads can I hold you personally responsible? ;)

    * Please bear in mind that I am a total cheapskate though ;)

  • Thanks OP, I just bought a tenners worth of Christmas fabric. Fat quarters and two patchwork sets, will make great Christmas pressies, as I'm making some small stockings, Xmas tree decorations and a couple of cushions, brilliant!!

Yes you type then in and on the next page is about 5 or 6 delievery costs you can choose from and then u confirm your order, if you dont like the postage costs then u can go back, it dont charge the card before u have pushed confirmed. Postage is different cost depending on the weight on the fabrics. good luck.
