I have a FAVC with my bank (HSBC), this has run for about 12 years I now find that my company pension scheme is more than adquate for my retirement. I now need the saved money for a house purchace but my bank say's they can not release thsi until I retire ...is this correct. The 19k tied will mean the difeernce on my house purchcase, is there anyway even with penatalties to release the funds ??
