So without checking the integrity of the files you are proposing, someone could end up downloading a malicious file?
Tried n tested links are good.
A copy and paste from elswhere should never make it as a 'post of the month'

Being as Neowin is a large tech site, there should be no malicious files amongst them. There will probably be dead links though.0 -

One of the links was to a Yahoo Geocities site - SiliconValley
I used to use their website back in 99'ish as there was some good / hacked software available there.
Now, anyone could sign up for a Yahoo account under the name of SiliconValley (as it is now dead) and upload a trojan or such as the filename specified by the original poster, and could have infected anyone who decided to click on that link.
