Online vrs. The High Street

I find myself rarely buying from the high street these days unless its something fairly inexpensive.
The truth is in a world of quidco and vouchercodes.com theres really little advantage in it. I recently got approx 30% off a new winter coat by using vouchers, AMEX and Topcashback.co.uk.
I just wondered how many others are the same?
I enjoy xmas shopping for small, fun items but by and large the vast majority of my shopping is done at the computer!

I do the same whenever I can't get a discount code or offer (can't combine them on quidco unless they say so which is often rare). I worry too much about cashback taking months. If I have paid £xx for something and need it to cost less, I disike having to wait 6 months to get the cashback plus multiple emails with replies telling me to 'wait 120-180 days'.
I think Virgin Media were the worst I have experienced for cashback, Quidco sorted it in the end but not before a 6 month wait! That alone made me think twice. Cashback is never the same as a cold hard discount IMO!
Also being in and about London I rarely find a store online that works out better then the same stores with discount days or sales, then there is the delivery fee which can ruin most good offers.0 -
Depends on the offers. Sometimes purchasing in store with a good offer can better the deals available on line. I rarely order unless there is free delivery (but there usually is sometime at most places!)
But I agree that recently on line deals have been better & this year I have probably bought more that way.
What I find irritating though is how places offer an item on line cheaper than in store, have it delivered to store for free yet have the exact same stock sitting there at a different price. Yes, WHS, I'm talking to you.0
