    Nothing today, but having relatives to stay tomorrow for 3 nights.

    Was hoping to do free stuff with them (beach, moors etc) but if it rains I am stuffed. What can you do in the rain that doesn't cost anything?

    spent 45p on some crisps for my crisp sandwich!:D
    buying some steak and stamps 2nite so aroun £5 OH is hinting about takeaway so would rather spend £1.79 on steak than £12 on pizza! oh and OH ciggies so another £5

    Hey, that's not a bad idea! I must blow the dust off the board games and get them all out!
    I'm gonna sound really sad but I love it when we play this, it's different!
    my oh wanted to play cards the other day and it reminded me of my lovely grandma who turned ALL electric off as soon as there was a thunder storm and we played cards through the entire storm! (we also use to share out the penny jar and use it to bet!):rotfl: :j

  • I used to play cards with my granparents too. We went for tea every fortnight and always played cards after tea (sevens and pairs etc)

    I was going to suggest cards as well! Had a board game night with some friends a while back, was great fun! And dirt cheap....

    I've saved up for 3 months and today i went christmas shopping.
    Early i know but by getting it out of the way now it means i've got 2 months to save for christmas food and all those little extras that i love.

  • Still not come to terms with taking pack-up so needed sandwich and drink at lunchtime (£3.40) but I had some luncheon vouchers from doing survey which covered the cost. So, theoretically, NSD -yay :j

    I've had a NSD and sold my golfclubs to a work-mate for £50! :j :T :j :T
    I'm also working all weekend so again I'll not be spending much :T :j

  • I've spent £1.47 on eBay postage and 29p on some sweets for the kids!

    Going to some freinds for dinner tomorrow evening and have managed to save a fiver for a bottle of wine from last weeks budget. I think I'm finally getting the hang of this budgetting lark!!
