  • It came up when I logged into my account this morning.
  • I think its a great idea. Even if sellers put up their prices marginally, it should bring in a good amount for Children in Need.
  • Hi there, does anyone know:

    1. If you opt to give, say, 50% to Children In Need, whether that is 50% of the final item value BEFORE postage or 50% of the final value INCLUDING postage?

    2. Will you still be able to list for free if meeting the charity requirements on Turbo Lister (been exempt during recent Free Listing Weekends)?

    Many thanks in advance!!

If the item is say £5 + £2 P&P and you give 50% then £2.50 will go to CIN and eBay will charge selling fees assuming you made a £2.50 sale. However, Paypal will charge for a £7 transaction - so don't ever sell at 100% rate unless you want to lose money on a sale.

Hence why ebay are the lowest form of scum! Bet they'll gladly be there gurning with a cheque to present their 'donation' to milk the positive publicity. Even if it's the sellers donation...

Paypal are a separate company, eBay can't dictate what they do with what they would consider a routine receipt of money.

PayPal operate as a separate company but they are owned by eBay, which is why they are eBay's preferred payment method.

Shame, I would've taken the opportunity for a stock clear-out. Oh well, I'm sure the mares and foals sanctuary shop will take it instead.
