Hi all
Apologises if posting in wrong place!
Basically I bought some lovely curtains for my DD bedroom but they are way too short (my own stupidity!) and can't return them as out with return time.So I would like to make some large cushions with the material but I don't have a clue how to go about it! Nor do I have
sewing machine!!
Can anyone recommend what i need to do or any websites that can show me?
Thanks

Envelope cushion covers are the easiest things ever. You just get a long rectangle of fabric that is a few inches longer than double the width of your cushion, hem the two short ends, then "wrap" the cushion in the fabric to gauge the size, so the two hemmed edges overlap at the back. Then sew up the two open sides (inside out) before turning the right way again. You have an "envelope", and you stuff your cushion in through the open part at the back. You can add buttons to keep it closed, but because you have a couple of inches overlap you don't need to if you dont want. I'm sure I haven't explained it very well, so have a look at this link, hopefully you'll know what I mean! http://www.ehow.co.uk/how_6579156_make-envelope-cushion-cover.htmlSo, there are these boys,
