Help! Mortgage refused due to no credit history

Being on the voters roll is unfortunately not always synonymous with actually showing as at the voters roll on a credit check. Especially if there are issues with the Postcode Address File I have seen many cases where someone who is on the roll does not actually show on Experian/Equifax.
From what you have said there should not be an issue with many other lenders.0 -
Hi everyone - just a quick update. Thanks so much for the advice to see a broker. He saw one today and has already got an offer in principal from Barclays (his bank). Apparently that means it's 90% sure, but there are still things that could wrong. So we're tentatively hopeful! Fingers crossed :-)

Totally agree with the computer system not as flexible.
My bank wanted to give me a loan but my lack of credit (3k all up) combined with been a foreign national killed the deal.
Broker tried all the combinations trying to get the computer to approve but no cigar.0
