Hi there,
I am writing a feature on Groupon - whether its a good thing or not - and I'd like your opinions.
Can you tell me about your experiences and whether you would recommend it to other people?
And if any of you are or know businesses that have dealt with them please let me know too.
Thanks!

I've bought three groupon vouchers so far, but only used one!
I bought one for a meal in a tepinyaki place in Lisburn...can't remember the name but it was beside the cinema.
The meal was great and the service good too, in fact I'd go back even paying full price!
I also bought one as an Xmas gift for someone, a mens haircut/restyle and Indian head massage at Saks, so hopefully that one will go well.
I've also one for a haircut and treatment at Angel Hair in Belfast, Great Victoria Street I think, and I've made an appointment for next Saturday. We'll see how it goes, but it was a good bargain I think.carpe diem

I have bought a couple- The one for Chinese in Lisburn called Ginza, had a total of 4 vouchers all welcomed and meal and staff were great. Also last weeks one for 3 month DVD rental for £4.95 which has worked ok.
My wife has bought a couple of massage vouchers which although she hasn't used has successfully booked appointments.

Hi,
A friend of mine brought a sailing day as a christmas present yesterday and is really pleased with it!0 -
Have bought half a dozen or more things from them in the past few months and can only say good things about them. Had bought the woman a spa treatment thing, but they got too many subscriptions to it, so had to get a refund. Was no problem at all even with that..:beer:0

Stay away from Groupon. I bought a voucher for Woolton Picture House but when I tried to use it the cinema wouldn't honour the voucher. There is no small print with restrictions on the voucher. It clearly states the voucher can be used 7 days a week. It clearly states 'just choose a film, a friend and a date to go'. When I tried to see Harry Potter I was told I couldn't use the voucher to see that film and the voucher expires by the time a new film is on. I have emailed Groupon to ask for a refund but my emails go ignored.0

no problems with groupon at all. Just remember that all vouchers have expiry dates and some are quicker than others. It tells u this on the site before u buy. Im currently enjoying 3 months dvd rentals for a £5!0

I've bought 4 so far but have only used 2 of them but they genuinely seem to be good offers. The 2 I've used were codes for photo printing and calendars but I've a discounted hair appointment coming up (£60 instead of £190) and a restaurant/hotel voucher which I'll give my other half for Christmas - £60 for a meal plus B&B in Michelin starred restaurant/guest house. Couldn't afford any of these things at full price and think Groupon is just great!0

I was tempted to go for that one (the guest-house) but didn't like what I read about the place on TripAdvisor.0

Oh dear!!
Will post back afterwards but at £30 each for dinner, b&b I didn't think I could go too far wrong.
