Apple Pie in Slow Cooker

Hello peeps
I have been given some cooking apples which really need using up asap.
I have to pop out later today, so wondered if you can make the basic apple sauce in the slow cooker, and then I can just roll out a puff pastry lid when I get home later (i would make 'proper' pastry but i'm giving blood later, so this will be easier and less energetic after i've donated).
Anyway, have searched the recipe index and slow cooker indexe, but couldn't find anything about apples in a slow cooker other than baked apples, which is not really what i need. (apologies if it is what i need and i'm just being stupid!!)
I know that you normally pulp the apple on the hob with sugar and stuff, but it is possible to do in a slow cooker?
Sory to be a pain, i've only bought it recently and still getting to grips with what can and can't be done in it.
Thanks in advance

Hi stiltoncheese,
I've never tried apples in the slow cooker, but I can't see stewed apples working as I think that they'd stick to the bottom unless you added a lot of water which would make your apple too runny for a pie. They don't take long to do on the hob...only about 10 minutes.
