To celebrate Thomas Lawrence the Gallery has joined with The Chesterfield, a luxurious boutique hotel located in the heart of Mayfair, to offer you the chance to win a fabulous weekend for two in London.
The Prize includes two nights luxury stay in a superior double room with full English breakfast and a three course dinner at the elegant Butler’s restaurant. We are also offering the lucky winner a sumptuous Champagne Cream Tea for two in the Gallery’s stunning roof-top Portrait Restaurant and an exhibition catalogue (RRP £40).



To enter this fabulous competition, simply fill in your details below. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. Closing date for entries is Sunday 23 January 2011. Terms and Conditions apply.


Terms and conditions

1. Closing date 23/01/11. All correct entries will be entered into a prize draw and the winner will be drawn at random and notified by email by 14/02/11.
2. Entrants must be over 18.
3. Entry is limited to one per person.
4. One winner will receive a weekend break for two including two nights stay in a Superior Double Room at The Chesterfield Hotel, full English breakfast each morning and a three course dinner for two at Butler’s Restaurant, to be selected from the Table D’hôte menu, exclusive of any beverages. Also includes Champagne Cream Tea for two in the Gallery’s Portrait Restaurant.
5. The prize must be taken before Monday 18/04/11.
6. No cash alternative and subject to availability.
7. Transport to and around London not included.
8. Prizes cannot be combined with any other offer and are non-transferable.
9. Entries must be submitted either online to the National Portrait Gallery or by visiting the Thomas Lawrence exhibition in person and completing a Visitor Feedback form then posting it in the drop-box within the exhibition.
10. The winning entrant will be chosen at random by the National Portrait Gallery from all completed and valid entries received by the closing date. The decision is final and non-negotiable.
11. The National Portrait Gallery reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of similar value at its own discretion.
12. The National Portrait Gallery reserves the right to withdraw or amend the competition as necessary due to circumstances outside its control.
13. By entering the competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these rules.
14. Employees of the National Portrait Gallery, Portrait Restaurant and The Red Carnation Hotel Group, their families, agents or anyone else connected with the competition are not permitted to enter.
15. The competition is run by the National Portrait Gallery Marketing Department and The Chesterfield, part of the Red Carnation Hotel Group.
