G'day from Down Under!!

Helloooooooooo, how are you?

Thought it had been a while since I'd dropped in, so thought I would say G'day!!

I cant believe I have been in Oz for almost 3 months, the time has flown by, but have been having so much fun, although, not an awful lot of time to relax and do nothing as have been busy, busy, busy!!

I am in Brisbane at the moment and have been to quite a few places already, Sydney, Alice, Darwin, Cairns & most places down the East Coast and in between. This has definately made all the 6 day weeks and saving my pennies worth it, and dont regret it for a second!!

What have you been up to? What has changed for you in the last 3 months? Post and tell me all your good news & achievements as I am sure there have been loads!!

My finances are going ok, although it is pretty scary not earning anything and watching the $ go down and down and down, although I will be back in Sydney in the next month and will be finding an apartment and a job (boo hoooo!!), although I am actually quite looking forward to it & being in 1 place for longer than a day!! Infact, I am kidding myself that I will come home with at least 50% of the money I saved, but I am not sure I am being realistic this time, hehe!!

If you want to read about what i've been up to (in some depth!!), my blog is still at: www.getjealous.com/coops1980

Just in the process of trying to upload some photos, I've taken far too many, so I think it may take a while!!

Anyway, sending you lots of love, hugs, and kisses - I hope you are all doing ok & not working too hard!!

Take care & I look forward to hearing about what youve been up to.

xx

    Hey ms_london!

Glad you're having a good time, I must say I am very jealous especially sitting here on a rainy morning.

New things here- not much to report, am doing well keeping to my budget (ish) even though I have had lots of friends getting married, engaged or having babies. The student loan has gone and I am plodding along paying off the last of my credit cards, I have slowed down the repayments as I have Christmas to pay for, OH's 30th birthday, Dad's 60th birthday and a friend's wedding in the US (booked pre lightbulb, still can't believe how stupid I was to say that I'll go, but oh well we live and learn). But I am still on track for it all to be gone by next April.
Enjoy the rest of your trip, it's very odd to be wearing summer clothes in autumn/ winter isn't it?

    Take care hun x

its very grey and rainy here in London!

I am plodding along as ever. Paid my sofas off finally, before the interest free period ends, and now that means I can focus on getting CC paid off. Will it ever end?!

Enjoy hun, hope you continue to enjoy you trip

Hi, Ms London, good to hear you re having a great time.

Sounds like you re making the most of your time there - good on you.

Things are not so great for me here at the moment. Finally decided to take a holiday which turned out to be the holiday from hell and have had a bug ever since (3 weeks now) so been off work ill.

When I did go into work was told that we are being made redundant - crap. So the 3 month clock starts next week.

Guess the good news is that if I can get another job soon and redundancy pay then theres a (slim) chance that I might be able to pay most of my debt off. Trying to look at this as an opportunity rather than a disaster!

Keep us updated with what you're up to and enjoy!
