Lloyds TSB loan

Mother applied for a loan today 10200 over 84 mths no PLPP 170.19 p/m

after applying online, she twice had the message sorry, unable to process request please try again later.

several hours later application was retried and the decision screen came up the following was displayed on screen:

"Thank you for applying for a personal loan with Lloyds TSB, before we can complete your application we need to confirm some details with you"

does anyone have any idea what we can expect when we go to branch tomorrow?

  • Wen I aplied I was called to confirm details but what it really seemed about was trying to sell their expensive insurance!

  • The way it works is that Internet banking has a personal loan target as well as branches.
If you go into branch saying that you have started application online they will be very loathe to help as branch will not get anything out of it.
Poor service yes but if you wanted face to face advise your mother should have gone to the branch in the first place.
  • Deviates from the original point of the message, ejones999 the point of the message was the message quoted after the online application. for the record i do work for a well known financial institution and am well aware of the details, however for internet applications, the branch staff get 70% of the sales commission
  • No they get nothing for an internet loan

Point I was trying to make is that they should not need to go to a branch it should all be done on the telephone or through the internet.
