venue for birthday party

Not very familiar with venues in Belfast area and am looking for somewhere to hold my sons birthday party that would have a bar facility, wont cost an arm and a leg and preferably be available on a Saturday night. Any ideas and advice welcome :-)

There's a new karaoke bar -Zen Two - opposite the City Hospital on Lisburn Road in Belfast. Anyone I've heard talking about it has raved about it.

try some local sports clubs? for example Belmont Scoial Club where my rugby club is based has excellent facilities and a big room to book with bar. its all pretty new and high standard, and im sure a good few others would be similar and available for booking?

I can second Drew's recommendation about Belmont club. the facilities are excellent, small kitchen which is available to do your own food, reasonable bar prices and I'm sure room hire wouldnt be that much.

The liquor licence held by most sports and social clubs only allows members or signed-in guests of members to drink there. I know most clubs ignore this; not many people are aware of it and have yet to hear of a case where the police have enforced it but it does put me off holding or attending this type of event in a club.

i think belmont have a different licence as it does specifically rent the room out ro people who ar enon members as well, but i may be wrong, you could check that though with your local club?
