The Egg calculator copes with interest only mortgages - http://your.egg.com/visitor/mortgages/calculator/landing.aspx - select "I'll use my own interest rate" from the What is most important to you? box, stick your rate in and change the Mortgage type in Your Details from Repayment to Interest Only. You can then play around with entering various overpayments, either lump sum or monthly.

Thanks Caroline, I followed the link but it is a mortage calculator and when I add my salary it assumes I want a repayment mort and blocks me from going further, I think I am jinxed!Proud member of the £2 club, joined 17th October

I got it to work last night - you might have to tell it you want a re-mortgage on the first screen instead of a new mortgage. If you're still having problems with it, let me know and I'll do step-by-step instructions for how I got it working.

We're on Interest Only and I use the Egg calculator from this link http://new.egg.com/visitor/0,2388,3_54988--View_1028,00.html
The very first option is "repayment, interest only or bit of both".
Very useful tool.0 -
