Interviews Etc

I just want to say GOOD LUCK to everyone on here who has an interview or is just waiting for a credit check or something for a new job. My friend was out of work for six months through no fault of her own and she went on nearly every jobsite several times a day, visited the jobcentre (who were no help) and rang employers all the time but there was just nothing suitable out there. Anyone who is fortunate enough to make it to that all important interview and beyond deserves a very hearty pat on the back as things are tough out there and the people who really do want to work are not finding it easy.
My friend started her own business and is struggling to get it off the ground but she has the determination and knowledge to do it so we are less worried about her now, but there is absolutely no support out there for the people who genuinely want to work. The job centre offered to send her on courses to learn English and polish up her maths skills but she was born in this country and has lived here all her life so her English is perfect, she writes short stories and occasionally has them published in magazine so her English Literature is fine and guess what, she has a Maths degree so not really worth going to an adult education centre to learn how to add up eh??!!
So, GOOD Luck to all of you and for those who take the leap like my friend, VERY BEST WISHES. There should be a place to post messages on here to promote our plucky new business owners .....
