Best way is to probably get last months statement and as many receipts as you have then you can work out where stuff has gone. Like others have said keep a spending diary and that in itself will probably stop you spending as much as quick.0

Hi, yes its very easy to become addicted to this site. But I feel it is helping me, I think my parents and my son are shocked by the different attitude I have had lately to saving money. Like a lot of people, I still dont know where all my money is going, so I'm keeping a diary which I thought I would kick off this week as I'm on holiday.
For starters, its about 10 days until pay day, so I'm using up all the stuff I have in food cupboards and freezer, I thought there was nothing suitable there for meals, but you forget what you buy.
I've also started mystery shopping on my days off, which doesn't pay much, but I figure that if you're going somewhere anyway, then you can use the payment towards petrol and do 2 things at once. I've also signed up for lots of surveys and freebies etc.
Its going to take a bit of work, but I think we'll all be able to do it with a bit of support and feeding off each others ideas x0 -

do it over the course of a month, write down EVERYTHING, and then you can find out where you're money's going!!!

Good plan - pay day is the 15th. So I'll join you and start from then.
