Hi all I have posted a couple of times on here (thanks for good advice everyone) but I still have reservations about declaring myself br. Just a couple more questions (for now!!)
1. How long does it take from applying to the court to be seen and given a decision (roughly)??
2. Are there any options on paying fees as it will take me nearly a year to save them up?
Thanks in advance
I'm hoping to come to a decision soon as this is all I ever think about and I need to sort my life out!!!

they will pay the BR for you £450
but you will still have to pay the court costs of £150 - then again depending on what you are on they might waive them - you need to speak to the court in your areaTotal Weight Loss - 28lb and countingAD 17/11/20100 -

£450 OR fee must always be paid.
£150 court fee can be waived if on low income. Payment must be made before you go BR.We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung

Unfortunately this is not always the case. Some courts currently have waiting lists of up to 6 weeks. OP needs to contact his local court asap to find out what system they operate.

Spot on. In my ignoranceI arrived at the court with money and forms expecting to emerge bankrupt. I was sent away and told to come back in 2 weeks!
In terms of the court fee you can get a fee remission if you are on income support, income based jobseekers, income based ESA.
You can also apply based on your income. The thresholds are variable based on single/couple/kids etc. If you google hmcs and search for ex160a there is extensive guidance.
I'm still waiting to get my money back because I didn't provide everything necessary0
