I have been making my own decorations from felt today. I bought some red, green & ginger felt and have made a good amount of hearts, xmas trees & gingerbread men :j

They didn't take me long to make and they only cost me a few pounds and a few hours of my time :T
  • i'm not very good at crafting, wish i was i'm just not very creative lolz
  • B&M have some cheaper Xmas baubles that are all sparkly and look quite nice. Poundland have some too. Im making handmade ones too. They arent difficult. Just need felt and some thread, a few embellishments and your done!!
  • now i'm really tempted to try and make some of my own!
  • B&Q on buy one get one free
  • I work in tesco and some of the box sets of baubles and other decorations were half price starting monday, think the promotion lasts a week as last week they had stocking, santa hats and reindeer antlers half price :)
  • Poundland have tons of nice decorations in. I got my tree topper from there, baubles etc amongst other things. Christmas gift bags are good from there too, disney ones etc.

  • Bought some cute felt decorations from Wilkinsons yesterday for 80p each. There are also some nice fabric/homemade looking red gingham hearts and things for around £1.40, oh and felt gingerbread men. Very old fashioned and Christmassy.

  • Have you thought of checking out charity shops? They are just starting to put them out in the ones near me and you can get some beautiful, unusual decorations for pence. I bought three bead garlands and a 1950's felt santa decoration in one charity shop last weekend and was only charged 50p for them (and I know the santa would fetch good money on eBay - not that I am going to sell him!) People seem to change their tree themes every year, so you should be able to buy some lovely decorations for hardly any money.
