Does anyone know if Hays branches are franchises?
The reason I wonder is because I have just had great difficulty in applying for a job through one local branch because I am registered with another local branch!
I registered with Hays as I thought that it would give me more opportunities as they are national. But it seems that you have to register with each branch separately as they do not work together at all. In fact, they seem to be in competition with each other.
Funnily enough, the branch I am registered with has suddenly started coming up with jobs for me since I called them and said I wanted to apply for a role in another branch!

They are definitely not franchised. It might seem they are in competition with each other but really it's each consultant for themselves. If they don't meet their targets then they are out.
If you are dealing with more than one branch and one of them places you it means that they could end up in a split fees situation which is a pain in the bum for them to deal with.0
