Hi Guys,
I am hoping you will have some advice for me.
Will post my SOA this evening when I have time to sort it all out. I owe approximately £7000 on several debts. I did have payment plans but due to a severe change in circumstances I havent been able to keep them up. Would I be better setting up a new one through payplan or CCS? I am also worried about the budget setting up through them as I have a lot of extra costs as I am registered disabled, as well as having a young son so actually have very little spare at the end of the month. Does anyone know guidline figures for "accepted" budgets?
Also I have had a nasty phone call from 1st credit today, despite having written to them 6 (yes SIX!) times requesting that due to my medication that all correspondance is done by post. Basically i set up a direct debit with them and the money was due to come out on the 17th. Tha cash is in there but I have had a letter from my bank saying that the money was returned as it was not set up properly by 1stcredit. This guy was basically rude and said that they will now be going for a CCJ as i have broke the agreement, despite me saying that the direct debit issue is their fault. He said if i pay £800 within 7 days the debt will be written off. Couldnt get him to see that if I could raise £800 by the end of the week i wouldnt be in debt!
When i explained about the problem, offering to send a postal order for the payment instead of the DD, as well as explaining my health issues he said " you cant be that disabled, if you are perhaps you shouldnt have had a baby" I politely ended the phone call by asking for a supervisors name and contact address, he gave me the address but refused to give me a contact name - Any advice on what to do re this? Or do I just contact payplan and let them deal with the hassle?

I think we victims of 1st credit bullying and abuse should get together and form a support group; they really are the scum of the earth:(
Anyway, I don't know Payplan so can't comment on them but if you look at my reply to another 1st credit victim you'll see the advice I've been given. I'll see if I can forward it to you or cut and paste it...0 -

OOps! Just noticed you posted this last OCt so anything I say now is going to be way out of date.
I'd be very grateful if you could let me know how you got on as I've only had the joy of 1st credit's company for about 2 months so far....
THanks!0
